Last Friday 18 Nov 2011, Prof. went oversea so no meeting and discussion (usually will have discussion till around 2000 and once it last till 2300). So can go home early and after dinner feel free and boring. So plan to ride my bicycle (borrowed by local friend) out to town and see how is Kaohsiung night life. Initial plan is to cycle along the sea paved bicycle path all the way to Kaohsiung train station 高雄車站.
Some sunset view from the rooftop of my workstation office.
As cycle out to the main road and to the bicycle path... unexpectedly for me that there is so many peoples cycling along the path as well... there were many people, some cycling for sports, some cycle for leisure(like me), some with family, some people strolling and some jogging along the track. so the path is quiet busy. i have no chance to stop down and take photo.
Along the path cycle past some old railway track, unused warehouse, shop houses and old container... Many of the unused and rundown warehouse has been transform into artistic place and art studio. Where street artist draw graffiti on the building wall, use some recycle rubbish and transform into some form of art. Even one warehouse is transform into a mini theater or cinema. (i will be back to the place on daytime to take some photo)
Then arrived at Ai he 爱河... i have been here on day time and this is the first time at night.
Initial plan to cycle to train station but its already late and not familiar with road and many many cars and scooter along the road.
So make my trip back along the river....
This tall building with twin tower is Ambassador Hotel Kaohsiung 高雄國賓大飯店. Its a posh and expensive 5 Star hotel in Kaohsiung
Then make my way back using the same path as i came... now the traffic is less and i have some chance to take this transformer photo...
Stay tune for more photos on Kaohsiung on daylight and this same path :)
